This time on the podcast, we got the opportunity to speak with Bolivian Missionaries Seth and Ashley Powell. From their own website, their goals are:

“…church planting through discipleship, as we see in the early church, represented in the gospels and the book of Acts. We believe God provide needs so that we can meet them, and we see the this as a primary vehicle to building relationships and fostering discipleship.

“As we continue in this calling of missions ministry, we have set some goals for the next few years.

  1. Network to establish at a church body in Chiquicollo by the end of 2015 through discipleship and small groups.
  2. Establish a ministry of small group networks (representing the body of believers) throughout Chiquicollo by 2020.
  3. Develop a community ministry to provide housing, educational needs, etc for families in poverty by 2020.

“Church planting is our heart, but due to cultural and political changes, our goal is to establish church bodies through small groups of believers throughout the city that focus on relational ministry, meeting needs, and savoring the unsearchable riches of Christ.”

Listen in on today’s program as we look at what the Powells are currently doing in Bolivia and what their experience has been thus far in the last 2 years on the mission field.

Husband, Father, Web Designer, Blogger and Aspiring Podcaster ~ My family and I live in the North Texas area, enjoying together time, being involved with church and taking pictures of our kids in the bluebonnets. My wife, Jen, and I dream of one day packing up and moving to international destinations to minister to and encourage the hearts of others believers. We believe that all are missionaries and are called somewhere, even to your own backyard and especially to your family. Live life how God has called us to: for Him first and alone.
