A lot of Christians think this scripture is only for the “missionaries” which is true, because we are all called to be missionaries! We are all called to bring the gospel, we are all called to make disciples, we are all called to teach people how to follow Christ.
Several months back, Jen and I the wonderful opportunity to sit down with our friends to chat on their podcast called Life Lessons with Dustin and Dorothy Dauenhauer. it was not only a great and fun time, it was also a wonderful time to just encourage each other on what it means to find and know one's purpose in life. We hope you are encouraged when you listen to the podcast.
So many Christians think “the calling” is this big thing where we hear the voice of the Lord telling us to be an evangelist, or a pastor, or a missionary. We think it is reserved for the extra holy who are willing to sell everything and move to another country or state or live below their means as the pastor of a fledgling church. Well, if you think that, then sorry, but you are wrong.
I was chatting with a friend at work the other day about how things were going in his life, mostly shooting the breeze... Expecting this to be a simple, casual conversation of "Hello, how are you?" (while I get my coffee in the break room) to be no more than passing... And then God entered in.

“There was a time when people went to church, heard the truth, and wept over their sins. Today… People go to church, hear a motivational speech and ignore their sins.” Ron Smith
