Earlier this week, I sat down and did a Skype interview with blogger, author — and now podcaster, Kenneth A. Camp (@KennethACamp). In talking with Kenny, his new podcast (Titled: His Hands and His Feet) will focus on “Authentic stories and conversations that will inspire and encourage you to live a life on mission.” We hope you enjoy this interview.
This time on the podcast, we got the opportunity to speak with Bolivian Missionaries Seth and Ashley Powell. Listen in on today’s program as we look at what the Powell’s are currently doing, looking how they have transitioned from America with their three young children, and what their experience has been thus far in the last 2 years on the mission field.
Off for a couple of weeks around the holidays, we are back with the podcast. Today’s podcast comes as we continue our conversation with “An Honest Look at Our Attitudes Towards Homelessness.” Whether they living under a bridge or in the nicest home that money can buy, with a generous attitude of Christ towards our fellow man, God can do amazing things through us to bless and minister with an honest heart to those living around us. We hope that today’s conversation opened your eyes a bit more to the needs of the homeless community –that they are all people too, created in the image of God just as you and I are. Let us strive to live our lives humble in spirit, thankful for what little we have, and more than that grateful for those God has in our lives.

We’ve seen this pattern before: This is the same strategy that the devil used on Eve in the garden. He painted a picture of how wonderful the fruit was and how God was holding back the best tree because He didn’t want her to be like Him — she “deserved” to be like Him. But, is this true?
During our recent trip to Budapest, Hungary, we had the opportunity to visit with 2 missions couple to ask them about what it’s like being missionaries overseas. When it comes to ministry work overseas as Americans, there are so many misconceptions about what life is like. During this episode of the podcast, we ask what it’s like raising a family, being away from family in the States, and what ministry in general is like. PLUS, since we were in Budapest during the European Refugee Crisis, we had the opportunity to minister alongside Hungarian Nationals to families, handing out food and blankets, and be part of ministering to families fleeing a war-torn nation in search of peace for their families.
We hope that you will listen to and enjoy this preview of next week’s episode. We recently took a trip to visit overseas missionaries in Budapest, Hungary, while getting a sliver of a firsthand look at the current refugee crisis.
She came to us just 3 days ago as a 2 day old! — I am in love, seriously. I already know that this little one will be hard, so so so hard to say goodbye to. There is just something that a peaceful little newborn has that is so beautiful and precious to a mama’s heart…
For new life and growth to happen, literally seeds have to separate from the plant and die. And in that dying of self is where God allows supernatural life to happen — but that only occurs in the right season and at the right time and right conditions. Outside of those circumstances when the seed is brought before it’s time, it will not thrive. It only succeeds when allowed to in the conditions God ordained, not what we force otherwise. What opportunities is God showing you?
