Some people think there is a problem with the Gospel. And most of the time, it’s everyone but Christians. When the world looks at the true Gospel, so eloquently described in the above video by Matt Chandler, they are floored. But, they are taken aback for different reasons…
“If God is so loving, how can a loving God send people to Hell?” — In this second episode of the podcast, we discuss the Common Misconceptions of Christianity.
It has been some time coming… but we are finally ready to launch the podcast. Introducing Episode 1: “What is PROJECT: Faith Journey?” Hear our hearts on what we want this Podcast to be, … and honestly, what DON’T want this to be. “Mommy Left!” Aside from it being screamed at the top of her lungs for several hours straight, this was one of the hardest things to hear our new four-year-old foster child say. Not too long ago, we were able to celebrate with our friends that they were soon to be parents to Baby #5! This time it was going to be a girl! … All of their kids are adorable and we were excited to join with them and welcome their precious bundle into the world. But, a couple of months later, we heard that this was not going to be a normal pregnancy, but rather a high risk one. That is never easy to hear — but hey — we have a Big God! … We’ve heard many people who go through this and it all works out in the end. But, as it turns out, this one was not going to be so straightforward as bed rest to keep one’s blood pressure down.
The moment that the “works” becomes about us, our faith is hindered — basically self has gotten in the way of what God was trying to accomplish in us.
