Where are you in your daily / moment-to-moment trust with the Lord today? Are you trusting Him with the little things, as well as the big? Or maybe you trust Him with the big decisions, and micromanage the small things in life? Do you think that you have the strength to truly “Trust Fall” into God?
Just because a person becomes a Christian does not mean that life gets any easier. Often times, it gets harder. The enemy doesn’t want you to succeed and will do everything in his power to remind us of our shortcomings, to keep us down and out. Listen to what it took for Glenn to get through the pain and find the strength daily to succeed through his past hurts and pain.
Day to day, Glenn manages a call-in prayer and counseling department at a ministry in Plano, Texas named Hope For The Heart. Regularly, he helps people find hope and healing who are struggling with tough life issues. But. before he began working here almost 20 years ago, Glenn grew up with a not-so-easy childhood of abuse and neglect on all levels. Battling teen suicide and depression, drug use and sexual relationships with both men and women, Glenn had seen it all. Following a night of a cocaine binge, Glenn had had enough. At this point, Glenn began seeing a Christian Counselor and he learned that his identity did not need to found in his past abuse. Listen in to hear how Glenn found purpose in life beyond the abuse, but rather in Christ.
Off for a couple of weeks around the holidays, we are back with the podcast. Today’s podcast comes as we continue our conversation with “An Honest Look at Our Attitudes Towards Homelessness.” Whether they living under a bridge or in the nicest home that money can buy, with a generous attitude of Christ towards our fellow man, God can do amazing things through us to bless and minister with an honest heart to those living around us. We hope that today’s conversation opened your eyes a bit more to the needs of the homeless community –that they are all people too, created in the image of God just as you and I are. Let us strive to live our lives humble in spirit, thankful for what little we have, and more than that grateful for those God has in our lives.

Already, another foster child is leaving our home this week — We know you are asking these in your mind… The top questions we get asked as foster parents are: How do you let them into your hearts and then just “let them go?” Are you going to adopt these children? How do your children deal with having other children in the home? Listen to this quick podcast where we answer these questions.
7 weeks. I know that sounds like a relatively short period of time. But when your “kid load” goes from three of your own, doubling overnight to six — whew! Those seven weeks feel like an eternity. When they came into our home, like any other children who come into your home through a foster care placement, you rarely know whether they are going to be in your home for a few days, or possibly even years. Listen to this episode of PROJECT: Faith Journey to be encouraged as you listen to our recent foster care experience with 6 kids in our home.
